What You’ll Need
To rent a car in Bosnia and Herzegovina with Yes.ba, you must provide:
- A valid driver’s licence Must be held for at least 12 months. International licences are accepted. If your licence is not in Latin script, we recommend carrying an International Driving Permit (IDP).
- A valid ID or passport Required for identity verification at pickup.
- A credit or debit card Used for the rental payment and security deposit. The card must be in the main driver’s name.
Minimum Age Requirements
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Certain vehicle categories (e.g. luxury, SUVs): 25+
- A young driver surcharge may apply for renters under 25.
Can Someone Else Drive the Car?
Yes — additional drivers are allowed. They must also meet the rental requirements and be registered in the booking in advance or at pickup. Extra charges may apply depending on the vehicle type.
Security Deposit
A refundable deposit is required for every rental. This is held during the rental period and released after the vehicle is returned in the agreed condition. The amount depends on the vehicle category.
When Will the Deposit Be Released?
Once the vehicle is returned without damage or delays, we initiate the release immediately. Depending on your bank, it may take up to 7 business days to reflect.
